10 anni di Garfagnana Chairart

On October 5, 2019 Garfagnana Chairart's 10 years were celebrated in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana.

The event took place at eleven o'clock starting from the door of the piazza in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana with the opening of a surprise exhibition for Martin and Beryl Galloway founders of the initiative; in November, after about 25 years in Garfagnana, they will return to England.

The exhibition was set up in the shop under the Rocca, along the path that leads to the entrance of the Rocca and into the Sufferedini Room.

In the Suffredini room in the presence of the mayor of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, the former mayor of Careggine, the mayor of Fosciandora, many "chairartisti" and other visitors, the history of the Chairart initiative and the values ​​of humanity, love for art, love of the land, education in the reuse of old things that Martin and Beryl have transmitted to our community.

The event ended with the awarding of prizes, with the promise of a return of Martin and Bereyl, at least in summer, and with the commitment of the municipality and the "chairartisti" to continue with the initiative.
